Xiaomi Mi 6 announced, Snapdragon 835, dual 12mp camera, 6GB RAM all for $360

Xiaomi has announced its flagship device with premium specification and power. Xiaomi Mi 6 seems to be a contender among high end device the only thing that differentiates Xiaomi Mi 6 is the price tag, been a flagship contender the price is almost half the price of other flagship devices within range.

Xiaomi Mi 6 will join the Galaxy S8 and Xperia XZ premium to feature the top of the line CPU from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM while you have choice of storage, 64GB or 128GB with microSD card up to 256GB.

The display is also impressive, Mi 6 features a 5.15” 1080p AMOLED screen. Camera department is the next big thing in Xiaomi Mi 6 as it features a Dual 12 MP (27mm, f/1.8, OIS 4-axis & 52mm, f/2.6), phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, 1/2.9″ sensor size, 1.25 µm @ 27mm & 1.0 µm @ 52mm pixel size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama while the selfie camera is 8megapixel.

Other features include 3350mAh battery, NFC, V5.0, A2DP, LE, stereo speaker,  fingerprint sensor built in the home button, quick charge 3.0 and USB Type-C, the sad news is, as good as this phone is, Xiaomi Mi 6 didn’t feature 3.5mm headphone jack, not sure why the Chinese tech giant decided to remove it.

When it comes to pricing, that’s where I find it very interesting, the Mi 6 starts at $360 for a model with 64GB of storage, and a 128GB model will cost $420 while A Mi 6 variant with a ceramic back panel and 128GB of storage will sell for $435.
