Meizu Pro 6 Plus packed flagship Specs but won’t break your bank account.
Finally the wait is over, Meizu Pro 6 Plus has been in the rumour list for weeks, this is a powerful smartphone with a flagship price, and the device joined Samsung Galaxy S7 to share the same processing power, yes you that’s right, the Exynos 8890 is baked in the Meizu Pro 6 Plus while the GPU is a 12 core Mali-T880.
The smartphone comes in two variants of storage and a slightly faster CPU, 64GB with 2.0GHZ and 128GB with 2.3GHZ of which both got 4GB RAM, a 2K Super AMOLED 5.7-inch display with Always on display technology with pressure sensitive 3D touch.
As for camera department the Meizu Pro 6 features a 12MP Sony IMx386 sensor (1/2.9” big, 1.25µm pixels) with f/2.0 aperture 6P lens, which features laser focus, PDAF, four axis OIS, and ring flash while the selfie camera sports a 5MP. The camera, to be very honest meets high-end device quality, judging by the comparison with iPhone 7 camera below.
Other features of the device includes fingerprint sensor built into the home button, which Meizu claims it will unlock your device in 0.15s and monitors your heart rate in 5 seconds. Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC (that very useful for mobile payment, not sure if it does support wireless charging), Hi-Fi Audio, USB Type C 3.1, 3400mAh battery (well am not so sure about this considering a 2K screen) but you got 8V/ 3A fast charging that charges this smartphone up to 60% in 30 minutes. The phone will run Flyme 6.0 underneath Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
You get the color option of Champagne Gold, Deep Space Gray and Moonlight Silver and yeah the interesting part is price and availability, for me with all these features I think the device is worth the price, $435 for the 64GB storage variant while $480 for the 128GB variant, the device will hit the shelve on the 8th of December via an only retailer.
