Meet Asus ZenBook 3, a lighter, thinner and yet faster than the MacBook
It’s clear Asus is doing pretty well in the computer department, even though there are loads of competitors in Windows Eco-System, Asus choose to compete with Apple MacBook rather than competing within the Eco-System.
Today at the Computex, Asus announced its brand new ultra-portable laptop the ZenBook 3, a thinner, lighter and faster than Apple MacBook, weighing just 2 pounds and 11.9mm (0.46-inches) thick, with a screen size of 12.5-inch display protected with Gorilla Glass 4.
Powered by an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 1TB PCIe SSD, also sports a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port for charging which Asus claims it can charge the laptop’s battery up to 60percent in 50 minutes. Battery is expected to last around 9 hours of typical battery life.
Asus introduced was it called “world’s thinnest” cooling system, with fan measuring at 3mm. The laptop also have a built-in fingerprint sensor along with Windows Hello.
The ZenBook 3 will start at $999 with a Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and 256GB SSD. Stepping up, you can get it with a 512GB SSD for $1,499, and you can add a Core i7 processor, 1TB SSD and 16GB of RAM for $1,999. It’ll be available in “Quartz Grey,” “Royal Blue,” and the seemingly ubiquitous “Rose Gold.”
