iPhone 7 may have 3.5mm headset jack, if latest leak is right.
Up to now virtually every rumor that’s gossiped about the future iPhone 7 has revealed that Apple’s next smartphone will get rid of the 3.5mm headset jack, in its place relying on the Lightning port for audio communication.
This rumor has been frequent so many times that by now, we all have believed it as fact, but that may not have been wise, as it turns out.
Today a leaked shot purportedly showing the iPhone 7’s innards comes to dispute all of those previous reports. Just because the part shown does in detail feature the connection to the 3.5mm headset jack, even if it general look pretty altered what’s been used for the iPhone 6s.
And that in itself raises some questions about the (unverifiable) genuineness of this leak. Unnecessary to say then, don’t take this for approved just yet. Still, if this part does belong to the iPhone 7, then the rumors of the headset jack’s departure have been false.
The Apple iPhone 7 could be waterproof and it might sport a touch home button. Its antenna lines are apparently going to be restructured for a more streamlined look. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are due to be outed at Apple’s annual fall event.
