Gionee M2017 | Luxury Smartphone with decent specs & crazy Price
With several leaks and rumors, the device is finally here, Gionee M2017, in the past Gionee seems to focus on large battery as a selling point, but this time around everything about the device is a contender to other flagship device and even better when it comes to the battery capacity.
As sleeks as the Gionee M2017 is, this is definitely not a consumer product, Gionee try to enter the luxury segment of smartphone. The phone is made with hand trimmed calfskin leather with aluminium frame.
Gionee M2017 is a 5.7-inch AMOLED dual curved display with 2K resolution, the little down side is processing power, with this kind of configuration, why can’t they use at least Snapdragon 820, well the smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 653 clocked at 1.9GHZ, 6GB RAM with either 128GB/256GB of storage.
There’s no doubt that dual camera is here to stay, even though I personally don’t see the need yet, as some single camera device still blow dual camera out of water, Gionee M2017 is equip with a dual camera 12MP and 13MP sensor with optical zoom which focus in just 0.03 seconds. Selfie camera is 8MP sensor.
Other features includes the fingerprint sensor built in home button which Gionee claims it can never be bypassed, because it uses an infrared system to detect changes in blood flow, which will determine if the fingerprint is live.
7000mAh battery (now that’s crazy) which also support 24W fast charging 3.0, Gionee claims you get a video playback of 25.89 hours and a standby time of 915.42 hours, a dedicated security chip that protect user data with the help of hardware encryption, 4G LTE, GPS, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB Type-C and the phone will run Amigo 3.5 UI underneath Marshmallow.
Pricing, remember I did mentioned earlier that the smartphone is not targeted at the massive, Gionee M2017 6GB/128GB will cost $1,007 while 6GB/256GB will cost $2,445 with color option of Black and Gold.
