Fingerprint support added to Windows 10 Mobile

Microsoft set to integrate support for fingerprint sensors in Windows 10 Mobile As part of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update expected to arrive in July.

Windows 10 desktop already have support for fingerprint sensor since Microsoft launch the Surface Pro4 and Surface Book, if you recall there’s a success Pro 3 & 4 type cover that support Windows Hello Fingerprint reader near the right hand side of the trackpad.

Windows 10 mobile presently support facial recognition to unlock the device via Windows Hello, now that Microsoft is adding native fingerprint reader support, it means you can either unlock your device by looking at the phone or by using the fingerprint reader.


HP Elite x3 will be the first device to taste this fingerprint sensor while other OEMs are set to launch more devices with the feature.
